What is CBDa & CBGa?

CBDa (cannabidiolic) & CBGa (Cannabigerolic) are one of many compounds that is produced from hemp.  Found in lower amounts in a variety of hemp (CBD) plants.  Both CBD & THC come from the precursor known as CBGa.  CBGa is the fundamental compound of the hemp flower.  If CBG is known as “the mother of all cannabinoids” then you may see CBGa as “the grandaddy of cannabinoids”.  CBGa converts to three major cannabinoid precursor compounds: THCa, CBCa, CBDa.  When decarboxylation occurs by exposing the plant to heat, CBDa converts to CBD.  CBDa is the raw material that is used to make CBD.
